VOICES THAT FLOW AND FORM THE WAVE
This exhibition uses various artistic expressions to emphasize the critical importance of freshwater and our roles in its conservation, quality, and sustainability.
The images in this collection emphasize women’s crucial role in caring for and preserving water, prompting a deep reflection on the collective impact of this essential resource. They serve as a reminder that we are all part of a broader movement for water conservation.
This visual manifestation gives rise to two key proposals: “Be the Drop that Forms the Wave,” a participatory installation created by artist Inma Barrero, which illustrates how individual efforts can unite to create positive change in water conservation, and “Mujeres Agua Arriba,” a collection of photographs taken by the Inter-American Development Bank that explores the relationship between women and water in Latin American communities, highlighting their transformative role in this movement.
This installation represents a personal journey, inviting the viewers to reflect on the stories and experiences of these pioneering women, fostering a sense of connection and engagement. The experience culminates with Inma Barrero’s work, which serves as a powerful testament to the essential role of water as a life-giving element.
