We are pleased to present a solo exhibition by Uruguayan artist Rodrigo de Castro. The artworks offer glimpses of lighthearted human stories revealed in an almost voyeuristic manner.
The little people inhabiting the paintings of de Castro seem to have found small, almost trivial everyday havens. Compartment after compartment, these anonymous little people bustle casually, void of distress, fully enjoying their natural human desire to live, of being alive.
Born in Montevideo in 1964, Rodrigo de Castro currently resides in Punta del Este, Uruguay. De Castro began to develop the series Small Stories upon his return from Cadaques, Spain, where he completed various artist residences.
