Roxana Arias Vaca, Sortilegios, 2018, Acrylic on Canvas, 35″ x 24″

Roxana Arias Vaca’s debut solo exhibition at the IDB SA Art Gallery, Bolivian Colors, unveils a unique oil and acrylic abstract painting series. These artworks, born from her internal dialogue, are a testament to her distinct and intriguing artistic vision, with color as a vital conduit.

The featured works are not mere paintings but powerful catalysts that stir many sensations and emotions. They invite the observer to embark on a personal journey, where they can ‘discover’ forms and structures according to their unique experiences. Each artwork manifests the essence of Roxana’s creative process, forging a deep connection with the viewer.

Roxana Arias Vaca, a University of Buenos Aires graduate, honed her craft under the tutelage of Heriberto Zorrilla and Helena Distéfano. These influential figures, founders of the Argentine Essentialism Group, have shaped her artistic journey, making her a significant part of this artistic movement.
