Between Worlds is an artistic journey into the transformative space of the human-made and natural worlds – a convergence point of past and present, memory and longing, wandering and anchoring.
Elizabeth Casqueiro
In Between Worlds, Elizabeth Casqueiro explores the intersection of the built and natural environments. Cities and buildings are portrayed not just as structures, but as carriers of memory, identity, and emotion.
Through her work, Casqueiro invites us to view cities and buildings as living narratives, shaped by the people who inhabit them and reflecting the evolving values and cultures of society.
Influenced by her architectural background, Portuguese heritage, and childhood memories, Casqueiro uses color, materiality, and symbolism in an expanded approach to painting. She has exhibited in the U.S. and Europe and teaches at Georgetown University. Her work is held in private and corporate collections, including the World Bank Group.
