Juan Luis Landaeta, born in Caracas in 1988, is a multidisciplinary artist who pays close attention to the processes of creativity and innovation both within and outside the arts. He holds a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing in Spanish from New York University and is the author of the books “The Well-Known Inheritance of Forms” and “Litoral Central.” His solo exhibitions have included “Jardín Desierto” in Brooklyn in 2017, “The Identity of the Line” at the Inter-American Development Bank Staff Association Art Gallery in 2019, and “Unwritten” at Mehari Sequar Gallery in 2019, all of which received positive responses from audiences in the United States. Landaeta has also delivered talks and lectures on imagination and the integration of literature and fine arts at Emerson College and Georgetown University. He has been based in New York City since 2013.
