Eligibility Requirements
- Open to emerging and established artists from IDB member countries
- Artists who have previously exhibited in the gallery must wait two years before reapplying
- Artists selected to exhibit in the gallery must do so before exhibiting in other area venues (including embassies)
- The gallery does not accept submissions from commercial galleries or art dealers
Required Documentation
All artists must submit their materials via the online application form on the gallery’s website: https://www.idbstaffassociationartgallery.org/artist-submission
Required materials include:
- A brief description of the proposed exhibition
- Artist resume or CV
- 16 high-resolution digital images of recent work
- Each image must include title, medium, dimensions, and year of completion
- All submitted work must have been completed within the past two years
Terms & Conditions for Selected Artists
- Exhibitions run for a period of one month
- The gallery does not charge commission and is not involved in financial transactions. All sales are handled directly between the artist and the buyer
- Artists are responsible for all transportation, lodging, and framing costs
- The gallery provides:
- Exhibition space
- Opening reception
- Promotional materials and marketing support
- Artists are expected to participate in promotional efforts actively
- An IDB technician will assist with hanging the artwork; however, the artist must be present for:
- Installation
- Dismantling
- Packaging and removal of all works
Art Committee Evaluation Criteria
Submissions are reviewed by the Art Committee based on the following:
- Craftsmanship: Demonstrates technical mastery of chosen medium
- Composition: Thoughtful arrangement of line, form, color, and space
- Aesthetics: Strong visual appeal through color, proportion, and texture
- Innovation: Presents a fresh, original perspective
- Artistic Voice: Exhibits a distinct and recognizable style
- Cohesion & Consistency: Maintains a unified and consistent body of work
