Guillermo García Cruz
Through the repetition and intervention of portraits against flat plain colored backgrounds, the artist explores the concept of routine.
"Are we producing a veil over ourselves when we become externally governed by a sequence that seems eternal? How much is left of us after going through life like this? Here, when we ask ourselves about the significance of our actions, the concept of transcendence appears. Where is our daily routine taking us? Are we pursuing more than just surviving and going through life as comfortable onlookers or are we seeking to change something, leave something behind? " (GGC)
